MELIS VLAHOVIĆ MEZZO-SOPRANO

Croatian mezzo-soprano Melis Vlahović, based in Germany, made her debut at the Croatian National Theatre in Split as the Sorceress in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas.

During her studies, she performed roles including Dorabella (Così fan tutte) and Idamante (Idomeneo). As a guest at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, she appeared as Marcellina (Le nozze di Figaro) and Suzy (La rondine). Further engagements have taken her to Staatsoper Stuttgart as one of the “Six Girls” in Weill’s Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny, to the Wilhelma Theater Stuttgart as Madame de Croissy in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites, and to Kammeroper Weißenhorn, where she also interpreted the soprano role of Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice.

She completed the postgraduate artistic programme of the Opera School (Bühnenexamen) at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts (HMDK) under the artistic guidance of Diana Haller. Upcoming engagements include performances in Wagner’s Der Ring 2.0 at Kammeroper Weißenhorn and in Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg at Theater Ulm.

Die kroatische Mezzosopranistin Melis Vlahović, mit Sitz in Deutschland, gab ihr Debüt am Kroatischen Nationaltheater in Split als Zauberin in Purcells Dido and Aeneas.

Während ihres Studiums sang sie unter anderem Dorabella (Così fan tutte) und Idamante (Idomeneo). Als Gast am Kroatischen Nationaltheater Zagreb übernahm sie außerdem die Rollen der Marcellina (Le nozze di Figaro) und der Suzy (La rondine). Weitere Engagements führten sie an die Staatsoper Stuttgart als eines der „Sechs Mädchen“ in Weills Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny, an das Wilhelma Theater Stuttgart als Madame de Croissy in Poulencs Dialogues des Carmélites sowie an die Kammeroper Weißenhorn, wo sie als Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice auch eine Sopranpartie interpretierte.

Ihr Studium an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart (HMDK) schloss sie unter der künstlerischen Betreuung von Diana Haller mit dem Bühnenexamen (Opernschule) ab. Zukünftige Engagements umfassen Auftritte in Wagners Der Ring 2.0 an der Kammeroper Weißenhorn sowie in Wagners Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg am Theater Ulm.
